Amplified vision and sound? Hormone imbalance?

Somewhat new to anxiety so forgive me if this is a stupid question. My vision and sound are slightly amplified and "off" on a regular basis (for months), even when anxiety doesn't come on. I call it "hyperawareness". Is this a potential chronic symptom of anxiety? I had one period of dissociation and I'm able to tell the difference. Never had this until I quit caffeine which was months ago.

I know no one here is a medical professional, but if it helps you help me, I'm under the assumption I have some kind of hormonal imbalance. My anxiety can be about whatever, but generally it appears when it wants to. If I moderately exercise, I get heart palpitations all day and insomnia/adrenaline rushes when trying to sleep. This is not caused by anxiety.

In other words, my gut tells me something biological is causing my "hyperawareness" and anxiety. My cardiologist can't determine what is wrong. Oh, and I also have high blood pressure (140/80) even when not anxious. 23 M, non-smoker, no meds, decent diet, athletic shape, no history of anxiety.
