How Do I Convince My Doctor to Get Me a Diagnosis?

Hi, never posted here before. I’m Ash, 22 going on 23, and have been experiencing horrendous cycles for around 10 years now. I am undiagnosed.

I get probably any endo symptom imaginable within my life experience; severe cramps, heavy bleeding, fatigue to the point i can pass out in bed, digestive issues, bloating (or feeling like it - my tummy gurgles too), aches when it’s not my period, muscle aches in other places during cramps (or my whole body can feel like a big tight muscle spasm), weakness...all of that. I haven’t really ever been in a serious/physical relationship and definitely have not tried to be a parent yet, so i cannot answer questions regarding those symptoms.

Over the past year or two (i lost track), i have been put on 4 different forms of hormonal birth control by my hospital, in an attempt to decrease or stop symptoms. Pill, ring, shot, recently the patch......and none have worked. My period either still comes full force with new oddities, or just becomes temporarily irregular or weird. Like a general sense of hornonal imbalance. I had been on these treatments to stop these symptoms, not for them to come back stranger or without warning.

How can i convince my obgyn to set up a diagnosis/laparoscopy for me?? I just want to know, even if i don’t have it. The pain is so bad at some times that i just want to claw out whatever is in my waist, or feels like my body is trying to fold in half.

Just to throw it out there, i once asked my primary care doctor (still my pediatrician) while telling her about my cycle if there was a prescription painkiller i could take. But she just solemnly shook her head. I used to have to take 1 aleve and 2 advil, only stopping because i was told that was an overdose. I now take 1 aleve and 1 dose of midol, but that doesn’t do too much as [whatever tylenol is] doesn’t seem to affect me. Not that the aleve/advil mix did much either.

ANYWAY....My point is: i am going to call the obgyn office tomorrow (or monday if i mess up/can’t), as even while on the patch my period came back full force along with hormonal imbalance(?) oddities. I just had a very intense episode of pain within the past 3 hours. How do i convey to the doctors that i just really want a proper diagnosis and effective treatment, even if it means surgery, instead of repetitive bc prescriptions that don’t work?? What is your journey in diagnosis like?? Was there a step like this??
