"unbalanced" scalp? Help!

I need help. I've been having scalp issues since january. When I shampoo, my scalp feels dry and sometimes itchy. Most of the time tiny white dandruff (grain of sand-sized) will fall if I scratch it. And two days afterwards, it will get really oily.

I've went to derms who give me medicated shampoos that make my scalp drier and fry my hair. I've switched to shampoos with mild detergents, started showering with cold and then lukewarm water. I've clarifyed and chelated. I wash my scalp as seldom as I can (even if my hair looks like a greasy mess) and I do not have hard water. Still, the problem has persisted till today.

I think I have an "unbalanced" scalp, dehydrated maybe? I do not believe it's fungal related. My theory is that a combo of stress, hormonal imbalance and showering with hot water provoked this condition but I haven't been unable to fix it and it doesn't look like it will fix on its own.

I'm about to try heating up oils next but would like to know if someone has dealed with and beated this condition?

Thanks so much in advance!
