[Skin Concerns] Oily skin with dry, red, itchy patches due to an extreme acne routine.

I’m normally oily but I very rarely get acne. It normally happens before or during my period when a pimple breaks out here or there but nothing ever too serious. About ten days ago I had a nasty breakout of an unknown cause. I’m guessing it was an allergic reaction to something or maybe a hormonal imbalance because my acne became quite severe on my cheek area and also my jawline. This literally happened during a period of a few days. Then my forehead became covered in tiny red bumps overnight. Didn’t have anything on my forehead then the next day I woke up with them. I fell depressed and became so insecure in a matter of days. I immediately ran to the pharmacy and got a Mederma soap, tee tree oil toner and La Roche Posay Effaclair for oily skin and started treating my face am and pm with this routine. I’m a heavy makeup wearer, but these beasts were impossible to cover and my face looked horrendous with tons of makeup. This routine started working almost immediately and the small pimples on my forehead started shrinking the next day. My skin became so much better in a matter of days and I am now almost acne clear except for the persistent pests on my cheek area and jawline still being there but visibly smaller. Now apparently this turned out to be a problem too, since I started getting red, dry patches around my mouth. I understand that the skin is quite thin on that area so I started applying Sebamed gel on the area and my forehead, using the tee tree toner and Effaclair only on my cheeks and jawline. I’m not sure if this is working since I have noticed no difference at all and as of today the area has become almost unbearably itchy. I still get oily throughout the day, but right now after removing my makeup, the area around my mouth literally burns when I smile or talk and it feels so bloody tight it’s painful to open my mouth and eat. I’m thinking of simply applying coconut oil around my mouth to soothe it until maybe someone suggests something that is more effective.

Thanks in advance.
