Vitamin D completely stopped my severe period cramps.

I had extremely severe period cramps all my life. I'm writing this in case someone is suffering like me because I wish I saw something like this earlier. If I didn't take painkillers I couldn't move from the pain, I couldn't talk, I literally lost my ability to think clearly because it was so painful. All I could do was lie down in fetal position and cry and scream in pain, I got hospitalized due to pain several times because I was a bit too late to take the painkillers and had to get an IV of something harder. I don't have PCOS, PID or hormonal imbalances so doctors couldn't find anything wrong that would cause this. I saw a blogger talk about her similar painful cramps and she said vitamin D eliminated them completely. I decided to try it but I'm not deficient in vitamin D so my doctor said I can take 1000 IU daily if I really want to experiment, nothing more. I've been taking 1000 IU daily for the last month and currently am writing to you on the third day of my period. I don't have any pain. ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN! With such a little amount of vitamin D! It's so good that I'm questioning if it's a placebo.

Edit: finally found the study that blogger addresed. It's not an extensive study since it's done on 40 women only, and they only allowed women with vitamin D deficiencies. The dose is a single megadose of 300000 IU given five days before the first day of cycle.
