Currently on Camila, which is a mini pill, because I have a chronic disorder that puts me at high risk for blood clots. Since it’s progesterone only, there was a risk of getting bad acne but I thankfully have been ok. I’m scheduled to get a the Paragard inserted tomorrow but I’m nervous because of the stories I’ve heard about the terrible cramping/bleeding and because it sounds like it can cause a copper imbalance that can throw off your hormones, resulting in a lot of the symptoms from hormonal birth control (anxiety/depression, acne, fogginess.) Does anyone have advice on whether it’s worth giving it a shot?
