One thing I miss about being single is not having to deal with periods and PMS

Let me start off by saying I am not an unsympathetic asshole when it comes to what women go through with their menstrual cycle. I'm also not the least bit grossed out by periods; nor am I weirded out by seeing things like tampons and pads in the bathroom.

What this is about is the emotional ups and downs that go with a woman's cycle. As much as I love my wife, it gets a little old having 7-10 days a month where she gets so moody that I would almost rather not go home. I get it, she is going through hormonal imbalances and dealing with cramps. I know it sucks. But I work really long hours and hate the feeling of coming home to be bitched at over trivial things. Or worse, being completely ignored for a several days in a row.

I spent nearly 20 years living alone before she moved in. When she's PMSing, I realize it's one thing I seriously miss about being single.

I'm sure I'll get torched for this post, but I just needed to vent so I don't take it home.

Tl;dr: sometimes it really sucks living with a woman on her period or PMSing
