I have had a history of severe cystic acne on my body and face, and completed two accutane cycles at 16 and 17 y/o. The accutane cleared everything up, and since then I have been acne free on my body and only get acne sparringly on my face.
Recently, I went through a bad couple of months and felt as though I was not myself. I lost my sex drive and all interest in anything sexual. I was highly unmotivated and emotional. Suddenly, my body acne returned in full force, accompanied with my hair thinning. The hair falling out has white bulbs on the end but im not really sure why its happening. The acne on my chest and back are keloid scarring really quickly.
If i had to take a guess i would say its androgen / other hormone related. The good news is that I have gained my sex drive back, and Its actually higher than ever before. I am feeling good mentally again, but the acne is still persisting and the hair thinning is worrisome. My eyebrow hairs are also falling out. The hair on the top middle of my scalp doesnt seem to be growing either. The rate of hairloss has slowed down significantly though.
I very recently got blood tests done and my thyroid and test levels were normal. The problem is that i am currently backpacking in europe so I can't afford the medical bills to get it checked out and will need to wait until i get home in 6 weeks.
My question is has any male experienced this and what was the outcome? Does anyone have an understanding if hair thinning caused my hormanal imbalances are reversable? Also may need to do another accutane cycle 10 years on!!
