Can spironolactone or any other anti androgen alone cause Telogen Effluvium? (Hair loss)

Telogen Effluvium is a type of hair loss that occurs when your body is stressed in some way. I was wondering wether the hormonal imbalance that hrt causes could in fact cause hair loss. Personally, I’ve been on and off spironolactone for three years now, and ever since I started it, my hair has been getting thinner. Especially the hair on my scalp. While there could be many other factors involved, I’m starting to believe that mainly the hair loss is caused due to the stress on my hormonal system.

Has there been any research on this? And is there anyone else here who has experienced hair loss/scalp thinning with hrt?
