I’m a 28 year old female. I’ve struggled with acne my whole life. I was on Accutane as a teenager and it was awesome. I’ve also been on all the antibiotics as well. I’m currently taking doxycycline and it’s been about 1.5 months and I’m not seeing a huge difference. I thought it was helping but I’m still breaking out in large cystic blemishes that last forever and leave bad hyperpigmentation for months. I’m using Retin-A and a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment too. I’m positive I have a hormonal imbalance but I have no fucking idea from what. It’s NOT dairy. I just don’t know what route to take anymore. I’ve also been having vaginal problems which is a whole other story but I know the two must be linked in some way. I take probiotics, omegas and zinc. I do all the right things for my skin. I eat healthy. I exercise. I use a proper skincare routine. I got in to a dermatologist from a referral by my MD so I’m going to try and go back to him as long as it doesn’t cost me cause I’m a broke bitch. I would love to go to a naturopath but again, can’t afford it. I don’t know what to do. It’s really affecting my life and I’m at a loss
