How do you keep from crashing throughout the day?

I find that hormonal imbalances (I think) make me seriously prone to sleepiness -- or maybe it's just my antidepressant. Regardless, I've already tried ashwagandha, rhodiola, and many other herbs, with so-so luck. I find that high-caffeine tea works best for me in terms of functioning optimally throughout the day, but I *always* crash from it 2 or 3 hours later. (L-theanine does nothing for me.)

So, I guess I'm asking two things:

-What are your tricks to keep you from getting tired and performing your best throughout the day?

-If you drink caffeine, how do you NOT crash from it?
