Birth control and PCOS

Hi everyone so I have a question. I've been on birth control for 2 years now, my current one for a year. Back in January my acne flared up and for the past 4 months I've been having all of these symptoms. Mid cycle pain, bad acne, can't loose weight, 3 day periods. I saw that birth control can mask PCOS symptoms but if I have pcos how am I having all of these issues now?

I took an online hormonal imbalance quiz where I basically check off what symptoms I have and it told me that I could have high androgens.

I'm just confused on why I'm having symptoms all of a sudden when I'm on birth control.
