I am 32F, no children and I have three years with a cupper IUD.
Because of the IUD, my period started to be heavy and last around 6 - 7 days, being the last days more like brown spotting.
Since a couple of months ago, i started to feel cramps and pinched feeling on my uterus after i had sex, following with spotting. I visited my gynaecology and she check with the ultrasound and everything was fine. Nevertheless, she suggested me to change the cupper iud for the hormonal one as is smaller. I had the appointment exactly the week of the outbreaks of the pandemia happened, so i couldn't make it to change it, so i still have the cupper iud inside.
My period came 9 days ago and i stopped bleeding three days ago. Today, i woke up full of blood and i am bleeding red, is not brown Spotting, just liquid pure red blood, and i am having again a pinched feeling. I don't feel weak, and flow goes and come, is not a hemorrhage either. But still i am worry because i am in the day 9 of the cycle.
Does anyone with cupper iud had similar experiences, should i worry about hormonal imbalance?
Additional, to this. In the last months progressively having sex is getting more painful and uncomfortable. Not just after, but as well before. I am tighter and penetration hurts. The first two years with the IUD i never had that problem. Does someone experience something similar as well?
