The cause of gyno gland pain?

Some people (me included) find that their gyno gland is painful. Does anyone know why only certain people suffer with pain from it? Is it a chemical/hormone imbalance or is there something more to it?

My gyno is a gland issue and when banged or pushed it causes a fair amount of pain. It's a fairly big issue for me as I've had a gyno operation already but as part of the procedure they leave part of the gland in for cosmetic purposes to help prevent an inverted nipple. I then had to have a revision surgery as I wasn't happy with the initial results... and the pain was still there where the gland was.

Since the revision surgery it's definitely got better but there's still pain in certain places where there's left over parts of the gland.

I'm wordering if there's anything that anyone has experienced that reduced their gyno soreness/pain? This may be through medication or any other method.
