Accountability Post

Are there any support groups for cysters losing weight?

Making this post to hold myself accountable! I’ve never been happy with body & thanks to r/PCOS, I’ve learnt how my hormonal imbalances have largely attributed to what has often felt like an uncontrollable appetite, abdominal fat & slower metabolism.

I’m 5ft2, no idea what my CW is but I know I’m lighter than my heaviest. The heaviest I’ve been is 168lbs, 33% BF. The lightest I remember getting to (via a lot exercise & very restrictive dieting) is 135lbs 6 odd years ago. I spent much of my adulthood hovering around mid/late 140s & I’ve never had a flat stomach ever :(

My current goals for now are to get to low 20% BF. I’m not too hellbent on lbs but would love to experience having a flat stomach & just feeling confident about myself! I feel like I owe it to me after all these years. I feel so much more confident at this attempt & in control of my appetite thanks to supplements recommended by fellow cysters. I understand it is a consistent lifestyle change.

For now, I intend to IF (14/16 hours daily) at least 4/5 times a week & walk more. I run here and there, practice yoga & do the odd home workout. I used to weight lift routinely & had great results for PCOS. COVID caused gyms here to shut & I’ve been scared to go back since but will bite the bullet soon.

If anyone would like to support each other on this journey, please feel free to PM or make me aware of any groups! I’ll come back to update with my CW once I get new batteries for my scale!
