Is anyone taking Diane 35?

So I have finally been officially diagnosed with PCOS, after my bloodwork came back indicating high testosterone and androstendione (I had an utrasound earlier which showed cysts).

My OBGYN suggested Diane 35 to manage the symptoms of the hormonal imbalance. I need to do a full blood panel to make sure I'm eligible to be taking it.

I know that hormonal contraceptives are no joke. I'll need to be doing these tests every three months, apparently. A friend is taking this particular pill to manage acne (no PCOS) and she's very satisfied, but I wanted to see if there's someone on here who could tell me their experience.

I don't really know where I stand with the metabolic aspect of PCOS. I'm 165 (5'5) and weigh about 58 kg (~128 lbs). I've never had particular weight issues but I do have a bit of an apple shaped body, though my stomach has been pretty flat in the last year or two (I'm nearing 22). I guess I could have lean PCOS?

Any and all suggestions/observations/comments welcome!

Edit: my period comes regularly. I don't have any issues there, apart from cramping, which I guess isn't really an issue.
