I have never taken an ovulation test but have been considering doing so. I’ve been dealing with a lot of fear lately about my being or not being able to have children. Mainly because I was pretty irresponsible growing up and I never got pregnant and I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a miscarriage. I kept chalking it up to luck and would say God was looking out to make sure I didn’t get a lame baby daddy. However, now I have someone in my life that I want I have kids with and he really wants kids, too.
The fear is setting in that maybe I can’t. I have high testosterone and have yet to receive a diagnosis (assuming I will get a PCOS one eventually) but they can’t tell me why specifically I am producing too much T.
If I am have regular periods that aren’t super heavy, pain free, and last 4-5 days is there still a chance that I may not ovulate or maybe the imbalance is shutting things down before it gets started?
I haven’t been on BC since 2016 and don’t want to go back on. Spironolactone is another option but it seems like more of a bandage on the problem.
I asked the nutrition Reddit if I could eat my hormones into a balanced state but they shut that down.
Should I just do ovulation tests to see if I am? I’ve had imaging done on my womb and ovaries and they said everything looked good.
