Seeking advice. In January I got the Paragard placed after removing Mirena (2.5 years of increased anxiety, mood swings, low energy and weight gain). In the past 4 months I have gained 20lbs. I workout 4x week and eat mindfully, when getting the Paragard my appetite decreased significantly and rarely do I have the urge to snack. I even did IF for three months straight, lost 0lbs. Periods are heavy and cramps make their entrance! Otherwise, I feel fine and energized with the IUD.
I’ve been lurking on here trying to assess my paragard experience and am wondering if others have had similar experiences. Those of you who have had the copper iud for more than 6 months did your body really adjust? Or should I be concerned it is more than the hormonal imbalance?
