2 days out from laparoscopic cystectomy

Hi everyone,

I'm not diagnosed with PCOS since I don't fit any criteria other than having cysts, but have been told my ovaries used to (in August of last year) "take a polycystic appearance" and I just underwent a diagnostic laparoscopy/cystectomy after weeks of extreme pain on my right side. Pathology reports that my cyst was a 4cm hemmorhagic cyst, but no signs of endometriosis. Nowadays (this month) ultrasounds report my left ovary looks normal and nothing was said to me about them being polycystic anymore.

During the laparoscopy they inserted a Liletta IUD in place of my Paragard to try to prevent more cysts from forming, but the thing is, I was on birth control the entire time I had this cyst and related pain until last December. It seems like my problems aren't well controlled by hormones, and I honestly don't think I have any hormonal imbalances as I do not exhibit any sort of symptoms like hirsutism, weight gain/loss, etc.

Now I just really don't know where I belong. I don't have endo, I don't have PCOS, I just have this horrible middle ground where I get large, not functional/follicular, painful cysts and painful periods, heavy bleeding, and pelvic floor dysfunction. I'm not so much asking for advice as much as just solidarity here.
