After having my son I was told by doctors that I had a hormonal Imbalance (excess androgen). This caused cystic acne for years, and a severe case of "smelly scalp". The odor comes directly from the center of my skull. Even after a shower, within hours my scalp will begin to give off that odor. It's so severe that it makes my hats and pillows smell. The smell is best described as musty. I've tried dermatologist prescribed ketoconazole shampoo for over 2 months now, and it has made no difference. I've tried T/SAL shampoo. I've tried natural remedies such as baking soda, activated vinegar, lemon oil and tea tree, and baking soda.
