Getting a hysterectomy in October. Need advice on fitness and how much time to take off work. Also childcare.

I'm getting a hysterectomy for my birthday. 🎉

So I have severe endometriosis and I'm getting a hysterectomy In October. Im keeping my ovaries tho. I'm otherwise healthy 32 year old. I workout 6 days a week and I work outside training dogs (walking around the park I don't handle the dogs. I teach other people how).

I love weightlifting and doing Barre and try to do the stair master at least once a day.

I really don't want to fall off the habit of working out. I fell off from being a bikini competitor after I got pregnant and had some health issues (chronic injuries, hormone imbalance, endometriosis). I'm finally back in the grove and have fixed my health issues and the last thing is to get this toxic ass uterus out. I want to continue to be active and stay in the habit but I'm so worried with not being able to workout for 6 weeks.

How long until you were able to walk comfortably? Trying to figure out how much time to take off work. So far I have three weeks off. I initially had two but after reading this sub maybe that's not enough?

When were you able to workout again?

Do you think the stair master and Barre would be ok during my recovery? Or at minimum yoga?

Did anyone have toddlers during? I am basically SAHM with a part time job and my son goes to preschool twice a week. My husband works a lot so it's basically just me. He's taking the week off that I have surgery but should I fly a friend in to help me the week after?

Any advice is appreciated! I'm excited but I'm feeling pretty daunting that I'm not going to be able to workout or help with my 3 year old.
