Title very self explanatory. I haven’t had a regular period (as in, two consecutive months) since i started getting my period at like age 12-13? I go from two to three months to over half a year without a period. While i was away at college i got it a whole two times. I lived with three women, and hoped it might do the ‘link up with each other’s cycle’ thing but it never did. My mom got hers at 12 and after it became regular, it’s been regular ever since. Not complaining of course but i am starting to get concerned. I recently had a scare during sex w/ my very new partner where the condom came off inside me right before they, ahem, finished. It’s really making me think about my cycle and where my fertility is at. I can’t rely on a missed period to tell if i’m pregnant and we talked about it afterward and neither of us could really afford a plan B either. I feel like i’m just completely in the dark and i’m kind of scared. I have plans to see a gynaecologist in a month or so when i move back to the city. Not sure why i’m posting this here, I guess i’m wondering if anybody else has the same experience. I know periods aren’t always going to be regular but when i can count how many periods i’ve had in the last year on one hand, it starts to seem like a concern. My mom thinks it’s a hormone imbalance seeing as how i do grow quite a lot of body hair all over my body but that’s her only evidence lol. (apologies for formatting, mobile moment).
