My 2 year old mixed breed is currently undergoing a pseudo pregnancy. (We are planning on spaying here after this). Today morning I noticed her lip is pink instead of black like what it usually is (she lost her pigment) her mouth/chin area where her fur is is red and looks very irritated and as well. She is a white dog and has had skin issues since birth but this is the most severe I've seen it. She is aggressively scratching at her mouth.
Is she having another rash or is this change due to a hormonal imbalance because of her pseudo pregnancy state? Will this rash spread to other animals or humans? We have another dog and a cat, and she was also rubbing her mouth on me.
