Causes of SCT?

Anybody have any ideas of what causes/caused their SCT? Anybody come across research that addresses this?

I have a couple hypothesis of what might be causing SCT but curious how many of these affect others and if there is a common denominators. Please share if you experienced any of these, your thoughts, hypotheses.

Keep in mind that these things might interact so I’m not saying just one of these might be the cause. Maybe all of them contribute.

  • brain damage: maybe this can result in SCT if certain affected areas are damaged resulting in SCT symptoms.
  • trauma: there is a theory that trauma causes ADHD so maybe something similar could happen with SCT
  • addiction: we know addiction affects brain development. So maybe increase of digital addictions like video game, social media porn, etc have resulted in more adhd/sct symptoms.
  • hormonal imbalances: some on this sub have suggested this theory but I haven’t been able to find any deficiencies in my case.
  • genetic: might be a mutated gene passed down from family. But none of my family has SCT so it doesn’t apply in my case. Maybe it’s a recessive gene.

That’s all I can think of and would love to hear if any of the above apply to you. Maybe there is some commonality.
