Doctors office made it seem that the doctor had an MD but they are just a chiropractor. Can I get money back?
I haven’t had my appointment yet. I scheduled an appointment with a clinic in town that had more of a naturopath vibe - I figured they wouldn’t accept insurance, and they didn’t, so I didn’t mind paying the $99 upfront for the appointment.
On the phone, I was asking about things I needed help with -my thyroid/hormone imbalance/mental health stuff. They said all good come on in. I mentioned that I also have carpal tunnel in my hand, and the woman on the phone said that’s “Oh that’s no problem! The doctor is ALSO a chiropractor”.
After the call, I looked closer at the website and the doctor is ONLY a chiropractor, and holds no other degrees.
I 100% know that I should’ve looked closer before paying the fee. But I called to just get info, and I feel that calling the chiropractic doctor and doctor, and then saying that the doctor was ALSO a chiropractic doctor was misrepresenting the situation! I called back about 15 minutes later to try and cancel my appointment and get my money back but they are not letting me.
