Going off nexplanon very soon! Anyone have any advice to deal with the changes I’ll experience?

Hi guys! I’ve been on nexplanon since 2018. I just got a new one a year ago. My OB kinda disregarded me wanting to get off birth control and told me the only reason I would get off it would be if I wanted to be pregnant. Which wasn’t true. So I decided to get a new one.

I kind of just don’t want to be on it anymore. I’m not currently active so pregnancy isn’t a concern for me. I also dont ovulate often. My periods are wacky prior to even being on the birth control, nexplanon just stopped it and I have only had 1 period since 2018.

My OB told me I could have pcos but can’t test me while on my BC but didn’t care much to help me get tested and figure out what hormones are being wacky. I’ve always had a hormone imbalance from tests done in my teens.

So I was hoping if any of you guys got off nexplanon, how did you ease into it??? Or even share your experiences and how you felt that would be so much help! Thank you :)
