NK11’s attitude really gets to me a lot. I’ve got thick skin but it’s the constant disrespect that chips away at my patience. I have been stern with him but I’ve never raised my voice.
- General pushback anytime I remind him to do his hw, because he does things he’s not allowed to do (i.e. screen time) before hw is done. So I tell him to finish his stuff first and he goes, “YEAH I KNOW I KNOW. YOU DON’T HAVE TO REMIND ME!”
- Usually [genuinely] ask him how his day went to make friendly conversation, and he says, “Why do you care?”
- Constantly tells me I need to go workout (I’m a bit on the heavier side due to psych meds and hormonal imbalance issues)
- Always leaves a mess and won’t clean up after himself no matter how I ask, and gets upset at me if I start doing it as a way of showing him we can do it together
- Asks me to go get him something from a different floor when I’m in the middle of something else and he’s sitting in front of the computer/ TV. Calls me “lazy” if I say no because I’m in the middle of cleaning
MB’s aware and has had my back and talked to him multiple times. It gets better for one day and then goes back to being the same. I know NK is just approaching that pubescent age but I feel like I’m the only one that he’s constantly rude to and it’s upsetting.
