hello. i have been having recurring UTIs for the last 7 years. all my cultures come back positive. i’m trying my hardest not to become hopeless but it’s so hard. im burning up all over my body from my scalp to my feet and feel drained all the time. i’m not sure if i suffer from a mast cell abnormality, an embedded infection, gut/bladder dysbiosis (imbalance of bacteria) i also have adenomyosis, perivascular lymphocytic inflammation, GERD, dermatographia, high tone pelvic floor dysfunction, hormone allergy (i get hives near the start of my period because histamines level rise at this time and i guess my body can’t handle it and i feel that im getting worse over time.) i’m having a lot of pain and leaking and burning and pressure and urgency. a few years ago i was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis but nothing was found except for inflammation. but since all my cultures are positive i’m starting to think that i may have an embedded infection, tight pelvic floor that isn’t allowing me to empty all the way, or all the inflammation that my body is holding onto and is causing a heightened immune response. i’ve tried amitriptyline, gabepentin, pregablin and hiprex and they were either too much for me to handle or made things worse for me. i’ve adjusted my diet and increased my water intake but i am still getting infections every week. i’ve taken so many strong antibiotics that i’m starting to develop major side effects such as neuropathy and chronic yeast infections and mouth ulcers. i’ve heard of people doing procedures where they insert fluid antibiotics in the bladder or do bladder instillations, take antihistamines in combination with other medications. but i can’t afford to experiment anymore. i’m dealing with so many other things now. i’m really desperate. any feedback is appreciated.
