Should discharge vary on birth control if on a monophasic pill?

I've been on Yaz BC for about a year. Before the pill I had minimal discharge, but once starting it it became moderate. I occasionally had yeast infections after sex and after treatment my discharge would decrease to almost nothing. Recently I had a lot of discharge for a while, then a severe yeast infection. After treatment my discharge yet again went away to very minimal.

I'm wondering if the amount of discharge per day should vary if I'm on a monophasic pill since the hormone amount is the same each day.. Is that what mainly influences discharge?

Additionally, I'm kind of wondering if my discharge is caused by a constant imbalance of yeast, maybe not always a full on infection, hence why the treatment decreases it. I just started boric acid suppositories, an oral probiotic, and stopped using soap on areas without hair (all recommended by my gyno) and I have very little discharge except for watery discharge after inserting through the night.
