What's your theory?

Hey y'all I was hoping to see what other people think of psychiatric "research" as I want to do some investigating on my own. It's been hard sitting through all the pro-psychiatry bullshit. I'm pursuing a degree in biochemistry (~3 years in) if that helps!

Mainly what I'm interested in is: - What is the mode of action of psychiatric drugs? More specifically how they lobotomize people.

-Why are there still no physical tests that show mental illnesses? I mean for real it's been decades and there's not even a blood test? Sound genetic testing? Checking hormone levels?

I know the chemical imbalance theory was debunked years ago - why is it still being pushed and what are alternative theories?

Even if it's not one of those questions - are there any of your own you've tried researching?
